Perspective paper is expected to present insight, predictive, and visionary (even contradictory) opinions and views on a currently active research field/topical area.

●  Should not exceed five (5) figures.
●  Should insert table(s) with caption(s) and figure(s) with caption(s) in the text near where it is cited. It is also required to submit separate figure files.
●  Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; and references.
●  Should contain an unstructured abstract within 150 words.

Prepare Your Paper
●  Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; and references.
●  Should contain an unstructured abstract within 150 words.
Brief overviews

Brief overview papers are required to make critical reviews of the field/topical area, including its current status and critical issues to be solved.

●  Should provide graphical abstract. The graphical abstract should have the size of 3.5" x 0.867" at 300 dpi, or 89 mm x 22 mm at 300 dpi. If your image is smaller, we recommend placing this on a white background with the above dimensions to ensure the dimensions are maintained.

Original report papers will be prescreened by the Editorial Board (or the Board) before being sent out for full review, using the following criteria: 1) significant breakthrough in fundamental materials science, 2) unprecedented mechanical or physical properties, 3) novel functionalities, 4) novel and significant breakthroughs in materials processing and synthesis, 5) significant breakthroughs in materials characterizations, and 6) novel materials structures and topologies. The author(s) should indicate which of the above significant criteria the paper meets in their cover letter. A paper typically needs to meet more than one of the above criteria plus potential broad impact to pass the prescreening.
